There are no cross-country trails directly in the Cardrona ski area. On the other side of the mountain from Cardrona is the Snowfarm NZ cross-country center. From the village of Cardrona, one road leads up to the ski area, while another leads up to the cross-country trail area. The Cardrona ski area and the Snowfarm NZ trails are about 26 km/45 minutes apart by car. At Snowfarm NZ, 55 kilometers of trails await everyone from beginners to experienced cross-country skiers and top athletes. Thanks to the altitude of 1600 m, the trails there are very snow-sure.
