Cortina d’Ampezzo has been a center of winter sports and a world-famous ski resort since at least the 1956 Olympic Games. In 2026, the Olympic Winter Games will be held here for the second time. The surrounding mountains are accessible via numerous lifts and cable cars in the winter sports area.
