On Saturday, November 28, 2026, Ischgl will become the meeting point for pop fans and winter sports enthusiasts: Westlife will kick off the 2026/27 winter season at the legendary Top of the Mountain Opening Concert. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the successful Irish pop band will bring their greatest hits to the heart of the Tyrolean Alps—ensuring a spectacular start to the Ischgl winter.

Just two days after the official season opening on November 26, 2026, visitors can look forward to a weekend of skiing fun, mountain panoramas, and international live entertainment. Songs like “Flying Without Wings,” “My Love,” and “You Raise Me Up” will meet Ischgl’s winter atmosphere and the unique backdrop of the Silvretta.

At the Schmuggler-Trophy Samnaun, sport, history, and adventure merge into an unforgettable team event. On skis or snowboard, you’ll traverse historic smuggling routes between Switzerland and Tyrol—with one goal: to bring as many Schmuggler-Taler as possible to the finish line.

Experience the ski area along smuggler trails and try to transport as much smuggler goods as possible from Switzerland to Austria and back again. Along the way, you’ll face sporting challenges, tricky puzzles, creative tasks, customs checks, and photo points.

On November 28, 2026, Samnaun Dorf will be transformed into an open-air stage for true rock fans: the German cover band ROCK ANTENNE will shake up the winter air with their energetic live set.

The charismatic front duo ensures with strong voices and stage presence that no one can stand still: from AC/DC to ZZ Top, from Guns N’ Roses to Volbeat. On Saturday, December 12, 2026, a Christmas market will take place in Samnaun Dorf. The market will be open from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Visitors to the Advent market in Samnaun can look forward to a variety of delicacies, including mulled wine, punch, raclette, and fondue. In addition, the Christmas stalls will offer handmade gifts, decorations, and many other festive items. Musical entertainment will also be provided. Santa Claus and Schmutzli will give a present to every child.

Works of art made from snow and ice amaze all Ischgl visitors during the snow sculpture competition. Artists create masterpieces out of snow amidst the magnificent mountain scenery of the Paznaun.

Skiing & Spring Fever in Ischgl

The 24th International Silvretta Schüler-Cup will take place from April 9 to 11, 2027. The Schneesportclub Samnaun organizes the "International Silvretta Schüler-Cup" every April. More than 800 students from all over Europe take part in one of the most important children's ski races in Europe!
