The Kita Nikko Takahata ski resort, known as Aizu Kogen Takahata until 2021, is located in the town of Minamiaizu in the southwestern part of the Aizu region in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture. The Kita Nikko Takahata winter sports area is divided into four main sectors: Black, Red, Blue, and Orange. While the mountain was reserved exclusively for skiers for decades, this rule was lifted for the 2022/2023 winter season, so snowboarders are now also allowed on all slopes.
