The ski area was closed in 2023. There is no longer any ski lift operation. The ski lift at Apelsberg was located in the center of Neuhaus am Rennweg, between the districts of Schmalenbuche and Neuhaus. Over a length of 300 meters, it covered an elevation difference of 40 meters.
