The Niederthai ski area is located in the Horlachtal, a side valley of the Ötztal. Drag lifts and rope tows provide access to the slopes for skiing. Beginners and families with children especially enjoy skiing away from the crowds. Also very popular in the Niederthai winter sports area are the cross-country skiing trails, winter and snowshoe hiking paths, and tobogganing opportunities.
