Ramsau am Dachstein is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in the Alps. Over 200 kilometers of cross-country trails in all levels of difficulty are available. A highlight is the 3 km long night trail at the cross-country stadium in Ramsau Ort, which is illuminated daily until 9 pm. A children's cross-country park and the Nordic X-Park are located at the World Championship stadium. At the mountain station of the Rittisberg Kombibahn, a high-altitude trail starts at 1,500 meters. Ten trails can be directly snowed, and in case of insufficient snow, an additional high-altitude trail is available on the Dachstein Glacier. Three cross-country skiing schools are available for beginners.
