Just a few kilometers beyond the German border lies the small town of Strážný, inviting travelers to take a break with its casino and shops. Situated below the 1115-meter-high mountain called Strážný, near the Šumava National Park, there are three old platter lifts that provide access to easy to intermediate forest runs, each nearly one kilometer long.
