Skis and snowboards are not transported on the Zwölferhorn cable car. Anyone wishing to enjoy the descents must climb the mountain under their own power with touring skis or a splitboard. The Zwölferhorn is considered the most beautiful panoramic mountain in the Salzkammergut region. There are magnificent powder slopes and open ski terrain on the Zwölferhorn. No slopes are groomed anymore. For the 2020/21 season, the Zwölferhorn cable car was completely rebuilt. At the Zwölferhorn, you are rewarded with a stunning view of Lake Wolfgangsee.

Right in the village of St. Gilgen, the Laimerlift (no longer part of the Zwölferhornbahn) offers an ideal practice slope with an especially wide piste for everyone who wants to practice skiing and snowboarding.
